afkännu þing (afkænnu þing)
ett ting som ej hölls på vanligt ställe och vanlig tid; såsom det som hölls hemma hos den som ej ville inställa sig på det vanliga tinget el. hos hvilken böter m. m. skulle uttagas (se Schlyter: Ordb. s. 11 f.). nominari vel mitti pacitum dictum aafkiännothing ad domos in placitis communibus respondere seu comparere nolencium SD 5: 389 (1344).

Orthography: Early Old Swedish used different letters for ä and ö, so afkännu þing may have also been written as afkænnu þing
