arfherre, furste som innehar ärftlig regentvärdighet, till tron el. tronföljd på grund af arfsförhållande berättigad furste. ath wii hans naade som en enasthe son och enasthe arffwinge. .. for en reth ärfherre till swerges riche wille anamma, crona oc crisma Rydberg Tr 3: 624 (1520).

Orthography: Early Old Swedish used different letters for ä and ö, so arfhärra may have also been written as arfhærra
