Jfr Hyltén-Cavallius, Värend och Virdarne, 2: 128; Hildebrand, Sveriges Medeltid 1: 218. dömdes then wält quarn wpkastas som hemingx jonsson haffde olaglige bygt wtan lag och dom och foot qwarn i samma stadz igen BtFH 1: 224 (1508). forbiwtz, at the som the footqwarna, eller andra sina qwarna haffua, magha eller schola noghanlund mala for andra GS 57 (1474). Jfr fotaqvärn.
Orthography: Early Old Swedish used different letters for ä and ö, so fotqvärn may have also been written as fotqværn
