þiäl (þiæl)
botten (i tyg), bottenväfnad, den egentliga väfven (i tyg, i motsats till det som sätte på den samma ss broderi o. d.). giwum vi. .. eenä altaräbrun med pärlom, och blat þyälit (för blat þyäl? el. þyälit blat?), med stukum som þer til hörä SD 5: 563 (1346).

Orthography: Early Old Swedish used different letters for ä and ö, so þiäl may have also been written as þiæl
